Lin Qingyi had indeed just finished her shower not long ago. As she dried her hair, she suddenly thought of Qin Shiyue, who had visited the set earlier today. She couldn't help but feel a bit curious about why that vase had come to see her.

While thinking about Qin Shiyue, Lin Qingyi casually picked up her phone and started scrolling. As if by instinct, her fingers led her to Weibo. On the fourth post, she saw the very woman she had been thinking about. Lin Qingyi couldn't help but marvel at how this woman always seemed to make it to the hot searches.

Hot search headline: Little Boss Qin truly lives up to her title as the face tyrant. Absolutely stunning!

A vase truly lives up to being a vase, trending on the hot searches again because of her face. Lin Qingyi's lips curled into a faintly mocking smile as if she held little regard for a certain woman relying on her looks. Yet, her hands betrayed her thoughts as she decisively clicked into the hot search post. As expected, she was greeted with a nine-grid collage of Qin Shiyue's photos.

Lin Qingyi glanced at the post's timestamp—just over ten minutes ago. The background in these photos was unmistakably that of a hotel. The windows behind were dark, and her makeup differed slightly from earlier in the day. It seemed freshly done, and these pictures were likely just taken.

"All dressed up like this in the middle of the night, what is she trying to do?" Lin Qingyi muttered unconsciously to herself, thinking that this woman, freshly divorced, was already out to flirt. Truly a restless woman. As she stared at the glamorous and stunning Qin Shiyue, she couldn't help but silently criticize her.

Despite her internal complaints, Lin Qingyi's hands acted on their own accord. She clicked on each of Qin Shiyue's photos, enlarging them for a closer look. She had to admit, this woman did have a certain charm.

From the nine-grid collage, Lin Qingyi picked the one she thought was the best shot. Almost instinctively, she saved it. Once done, she suddenly realized she had saved a photo of this vase. Thinking she must have lost her mind to keep this woman's picture, she quickly opened her gallery to delete it. However, as her eyes fell once more on Qin Shiyue's flawless face, she was captivated all over again.

In the end, she rationalized it: appreciating beauty was only natural. With that excuse in mind, she left the photo untouched and exited the gallery.

Lin Qingyi tossed her phone aside, her mind involuntarily drifting back to over a year ago, to the moment she first truly noticed this vase.

Being part of the industry, Lin Qingyi had naturally heard of Qin Shiyue before. This vase was no stranger to her. However, since they had little interaction, Lin Qingyi didn’t feel much about her—just another unrelated person.

In the circle, people valued their privacy. It was common for celebrities to flock to a particular luxury residential area in the capital to buy houses. Living among their peers offered peace of mind. The place had strict management, ensuring no paparazzi could sneak into the community.

Bai Wenxi had naturally purchased a unit for Lin Qingyi in that neighborhood. It served both as a residence and an investment. However, Lin Qingyi didn’t like living there. Encounters with industry neighbors were inevitable, leading to unwanted social interactions. Lin Qingyi valued her downtime, preferring to avoid disturbances and unnecessary dealings with others. As a result, although she owned property there, she rarely stayed.

That day, it was already quite late, and her suburban villa was too far away. She decided to spend the night in the celebrity-filled luxury residential area. As Lin Qingyi drove into the underground parking lot and was about to get out of her car, two women suddenly dashed in front of her vehicle.

"Huizhi, can we not get a divorce?" A particularly stunning woman clutched the other woman’s hand, pleading desperately.

Lin Qingyi recognized her immediately. It was Qin Shiyue, the vase who frequently trended on hot searches. She was also the younger sister of Qin Shilan, the President of the Qin Group. In Lin Qingyi’s impression, though Qin Shiyue’s acting skills were lacking, her aura was anything but weak. On the red carpet, she carried herself with remarkable poise and brilliance.

With her privileged background, extraordinary beauty, and widespread admiration, such a woman could have lived a proud and enviable life. Yet, here she was, clutching another woman’s hand in a moment of desperation. That humble and pathetic demeanor seemed incredibly foolish in Lin Qingyi's eyes.

Lin Qingyi couldn’t remember what Kong Huizhi had said to Qin Shiyue. She only remembered that Qin Shiyue ultimately failed to make Kong Huizhi stay. However, the image of Qin Shiyue squatting on the ground, crying in despair, left a lasting impression on her.

Having seen Qin Shiyue’s humiliated side, Lin Qingyi felt particularly annoyed whenever Qin Shiyue directed her aloof and dismissive attitude toward her. That was why, at the charity gala, when Qin Shiyue took the initiative to provoke her, Lin Qingyi had deliberately mocked her with those words.

In Lin Qingyi’s view, even Qin Shiyue’s ex-wife liked her. Wasn’t she obviously better, more charming, and more likable? For a mere vase like Qin Shiyue to hate her and even show hostility—it was utterly foolish and blind.

"Foolish woman!" Lin Qingyi didn't know why she suddenly recalled the foolish things Qin Shiyue had done. Since the last time they danced together, it seemed like she had thought about this vase more than she should have. But when these memories resurfaced, she still felt displeased, so she couldn't help but mutter under her breath. However, she didn't notice that when she called her a fool, her tone and expression were unusually gentle, as if she wasn't just criticizing her, but rather, lamenting her wasted potential.

At this moment, Lin Qingyi couldn't resist but scroll through the comments section under Qin Shiyue's Weibo post. A whole row of comments were calling her "wife" and complimenting how beautiful she looked, some even saying they could "lick" these beautiful photos all night. The comments were countless, ranging from one vulgar remark to another.

Lin Qingyi felt as though it was a bunch of perverted fans fantasizing about the vase. These comments made her extremely uncomfortable, so she quickly exited the comment section, deciding to keep her eyes away from it.

Lin Qingyi thought back to when she had voluntarily offered to guide her, only for the vase to foolishly reject her again. She couldn't help but coldly snort in displeasure. This foolish woman, Qin Shiyue, probably could only rely on flaunting her beauty, continuing to be an empty-headed vase.

Only a foolish woman like her could take such pride in being a vase.

Lin Qingyi didn't even realize that she was perhaps meddling too much in someone else's business. The vase had nothing to do with her at all.

Just then, the doorbell rang.

Lin Qingyi glanced at the time—it was already past 9, and she had less than an hour before she needed to sleep. Given Bai Wenxi's personality, she wouldn't disturb her at this hour unless there was something important. Reluctantly, Lin Qingyi got up from the bed to open the door.

When the door opened, Lin Qingyi was momentarily stunned by the unexpected sight of Qin Shiyue standing in the doorway. She quickly realized that Qin Shiyue's outfit was identical to the one from the photos on Weibo earlier. So this vase had dressed so provocatively to meet her. This realization made Lin Qingyi's mood instantly brighten. A smile appeared at the corners of her lips, and the corners of her eyes and brows couldn’t help but show her amusement. Unconsciously, her hand moved to brush her freshly blow-dried, fluffy long hair behind her.

When Qin Shiyue knocked on the door, she was still extremely nervous, feeling as though it was comparable to the moment when she confessed her feelings to Kong Huizhi in middle school. She had expected to see a bare-faced Lin Qingyi, someone not in the best state, but as the door opened, she realized just how wrong she had been.

Author's Note:

Qin Shiyue: So, you think I’m stupid just because I didn’t like you? Do you really think of yourself as some kind of garlic, thinking everyone loves garlic?

Lin Qingyi: You just have a vision. This sister is your ex-wife’s White Moonlight, how could I not be good?

Qin Shiyue: Where is it good?

Lin Qingyi: Want to try?

After trying, Qin Shiye could hardly get out of bed.

Theater 2:

Qin Shiyue: Did you start secretly liking me over a year ago?

Lin Qingyi, feeling guilty, denied: It’s not true.

Qin Shiyue: I knew you liked me so much. You complain on the outside, but you secretly like me; you speak against it, but your body tells a different story.

Lin Qingyi: Did your family start growing Narcissus? So narcissistic.

Qin Shiyue: Didn't I just bring you home? I have to admit, after looking at it for a while, even the curve of garlic looks particularly sexy now.

Lin Qingyi: I can’t believe there’s a day I can’t drive faster than Baby Qin'er!
