Sun Tingting went out to bring the others in, while Shu Yushuang went upstairs to check the rooms.  

There were four rooms and a bathroom on the second floor, and six rooms on the third floor, but no bathroom there.  

All the doors were open. Shu Yushuang didn’t greet anyone and picked a room on the second floor for herself.  

Her way of doing things made the others quite unhappy, but since she wasn’t an Executor, no one said anything.  

The room was very neat and not dusty, just as the village chief had said, but that only made Shu Yushuang more suspicious.  

Why was the yard so dirty, yet the inside this clean? And why was there such a strong smell on the first floor? 

But the others clearly didn’t notice it, or maybe they did, but didn’t want to bother over something so trivial.  

After the other Executors finished dividing the rooms, they gathered downstairs to discuss how to clear this dungeon.  

Of course, no one went to call Shu Yushuang, and she was glad to have some peace.  

But soon she found that the house had very poor soundproofing, and she could hear everything they said downstairs clearly from her room.

This dungeon was a forced one. Every Executor present had cleared at least two dungeons before, so of course someone would start doubting Shu Yushuang’s identity.  

“Don’t you think that girl’s appearance was too much of a coincidence? Why did she come exploring right when we came to do the dungeon?”  

“Could she be a ghost?”  

“No, that’s not what I mean. I mean, she might be carrying some key clues.”  

“What should we do then?”  

“Let’s have a proper talk with her.”  

Shu Yushuang felt helpless listening upstairs. It seemed these Executors had completely mistaken her for an NPC.  

But what she couldn’t understand was, hadn’t they checked the dungeon details? Didn’t they see that this dungeon had fifteen participants? Why wasn’t anyone suspecting that she was also an Executor?  

What Shu Yushuang didn’t know was that the fourteen Executors had arrived at the dungeon site together by bus, and they had already received the dungeon details during the ride. At that time, Shu Yushuang hadn’t yet entered the village, so every Executor except her, believed there were only fourteen participants. Naturally, none of them doubted her identity.  

If she said now that she was an Executor, it would only make them more suspicious.  

Just then, messy footsteps sounded downstairs. These people were quick to act. After discussing, they immediately came to look for Shu Yushuang.  

The one knocking on the door was still Sun Tingting. It was clear that she was the leader among these Executors.

Sun Tingting pushed the door open a crack and poked her head in. She smiled brightly at Shu Yushuang and said, “Yushuang, is it convenient now? I’d like to have a chat with you.”  

Shu Yushuang nodded and stepped aside to let Sun Tingting in.  

After entering, Sun Tingting locked the door behind her. Shu Yushuang’s face changed, and she instinctively took a few steps back.  

“Don’t be nervous, I just don’t want anyone to interrupt our talk.”  

Sun Tingting hadn’t expected such a small action to cause that big of a reaction. She began to faintly suspect something else about Shu Yushuang’s identity, but… that couldn’t be right, could it? There had clearly been fourteen people on the bus.  

Maybe she was a police officer. Since so many strange things had happened in this village, it would make sense if she had come to investigate. That would also explain her alertness.  

Shu Yushuang still kept a bit of distance between them. Sun Tingting smiled helplessly and said, “It’s just a habit of mine. If it makes you uncomfortable, you can open the door.”  

When she saw Sun Tingting about to open it, Shu Yushuang finally spoke. “It’s fine like this. What do you want to talk about?”  

“When did you come to the village?”  

“Just a few hours before you all.”

“Did you hear or see anything while you were here?”  

Shu Yushuang hesitated for a moment, then told Sun Tingting what she had seen before she fainted. After all, the Executors should still act as a team and share information.  

After hearing Shu Yushuang’s words, Sun Tingting fell into deep thought.  

“So that man died because he tried to snatch something from his wife?”  

“Maybe… but that woman might not be his wife.”  

“After the man died, that woman smiled, right?”  

“Yes.”  

“Premeditated… There must be some kind of rule in this village. Whoever breaks it dies. That woman must know the rule and led the man to his death on purpose. Do you remember what she looked like?”  

“Wait, if that’s true, the woman also tried to grab something. Why didn’t she die?”  

“This…”  

Hearing Shu Yushuang’s question, Sun Tingting sank into thought again.  

But after a few seconds, she said, “Forget that for now. Let’s go find that woman and talk to her.”  

Sun Tingting naturally reached out to grab Shu Yushuang’s hand, but Shu Yushuang stiffened and quietly pulled her hand back.  

Feeling awkward, Sun Tingting shoved her hands into her pockets and said, “Then… will you come with me?”  

“Let’s go.”  

The two went down the stairs one after another. On the first floor, only three people were left; the rest had gone back to their rooms.  

When they saw Sun Tingting and Shu Yushuang, a round-faced girl immediately came up to them.  

“Any clues?”  

“Mm, we’re going to find someone now. Do you want to come with us?”  

“Of course!”  

The girl’s voice was full of excitement. After discussing briefly with her two companions, they all decided to go with Shu Yushuang and Sun Tingting.

On the way, the three girls introduced themselves to Shu Yushuang.  

The round-faced girl was Wei Hu. The taller of the other two was Xiao Xiao. The shorter was Ji Hui.  

After the short introductions, they fell silent. With Shu Yushuang, this "non-Executor", present, there are many things they couldn't say.

It was dinner time. Almost all the villagers were at home cooking or eating. Unless they went to people's houses, finding that woman was impossible.  

Sun Tingting was a bit annoyed. "Oh, I didn't watch the time, I came for nothing."  

Wei Hu comforted her. "It's okay. Just think of it as observing the village. Remember these routes. Later if you need to run away..."  

Sun Tingting quietly shook her head at Wei Hu. Wei Hu shut up at once. Wei Hu then looked at Shu Yushuang nervously. When Wei Hu saw Shu Yushuang had no special reaction, she relaxed.  

Shu Yushuang didn't feel like caring what Wei Hu said. Since she left the yard, she had a feeling of being watched. The feeling stayed with her.  

But when she looked around, she found the area very complex. Houses lined both sides of the road. There were many places to hide people.  

So the one who had been spying on her, was it a person or a fierce ghost?  

Shu Yushuang stood in place and tried to tell which direction the cold, gloomy gaze came from.  

Suddenly, she heard a very familiar voice: "Watch out above!"

Qin Su appeared once again in Fang Xiqiong’s dungeon. This time, she didn’t hurry downstairs.  

She remembered that last time, she lost consciousness because she tried to go down. Maybe that was another kind of restraint on her.  

Qin Su sat blankly in the room. In front of her, there was no one left. The Executors who had summoned her had all run away.  

As usual, she waited in the room for a long time before opening the door and slowly floating out.  

What surprised her this time was that someone was still in the hallway.  

It was a very young-looking girl who didn’t seem to be an adult yet.  

The girl gripped a small wooden stick tightly in her hand, her whole body trembling uncontrollably.  

When she saw Qin Su come out, she shook even harder. Qin Su could tell she wanted to step back, but her body had already lost all strength.  

Qin Su quickly floated in front of her. She never liked scaring timid Executors, because they were too easy to frighten and took away all the fun.  

But since the hallway had only this girl, Qin Su didn’t want to miss even a bit of amusement.  

However, before Qin Su could get close, the girl fainted from fright.  

Qin Su stopped in disappointment. How could someone this timid even be an Executor?  

In the end, she couldn’t bring herself to leave the girl lying alone on the cold floor, so she picked her up and floated downstairs.  

This time, Qin Su went down smoothly and didn’t lose consciousness again.  

Fang Xiqiong was still absorbed in reading those endless newspapers. Qin Su placed the girl on the chair beside her, then turned silently, ready to go back upstairs.  

“Wait!” Fang Xiqiong called out to her. “Last time… I’m sorry. That wasn’t your fault.”  

Qin Su sighed softly and shook her head without turning around.  

“Maybe my very existence is a mistake.”  

“No… This time you controlled yourself well. You can do it!”  

Qin Su turned around, her eyes full of hope.

“Then do you know how to keep this state?”  

“I don’t know… maybe it has something to do with this girl.”  

“With this girl?”  

Qin Su quickly floated back to the girl’s side and looked her over carefully. But after a long while, she still couldn’t find anything different about her compared to other Executors.  

Qin Su muttered, “Is there something special about her?”  

Fang Xiqiong hesitated and said, “Sorry, I can’t tell either. We’ll have to wait until she wakes up and ask her. In the meantime, do you want to watch a movie?”  

Hearing that, Qin Su’s eyes lit up at once. But she still remembered what Fang Xiqiong had told her the first time they met.  

“I do want to watch, but didn’t you say movies are for guests?”  

“If you can give me a bit of ghost energy, I can hold a private screening just for you.”  

“Alright!”  

Ghost energy was something that existed in all spirits. Vengeful ghosts had the most and the densest, followed by resentful souls, and lastly wandering souls.  

For ordinary humans, ghost energy was harmful and could hurt them. But for Fang Xiqiong and other Regulators, it could help increase their strength.  

Fang Xiqiong only took a little ghost energy from Qin Su, but it was enough to power an entire movie, with some still left over afterward.  

The movies played in Fang Xiqiong’s theater were not traditional ones. They showed what the guest most wanted to see.  

So when Qin Su saw Shu Yushuang’s face appear on the screen, both she and Fang Xiqiong froze.  

Qin Su stammered, “She… she’s an actress?”  

“No,” Fang Xiqiong said while watching the ‘movie’ closely. “It’s just that right now, what you most want to see is her situation.”  

“I’m not! I didn’t! Don’t talk nonsense!”  

Qin Su hurriedly denied it again and again, but Fang Xiqiong said calmly, “Just focus and watch. It’s a rare chance.”

Hearing that, Qin Su immediately turned her eyes back to the screen.  

The “movie” was showing Shu Yushuang’s current dungeon. Qin Su and Fang Xiqiong both saw the whole process of Shu Yushuang being forcibly pulled into it. One human and one ghost sighed together at her bad luck.  

“I’ve been a Regulator for so many years, but I’ve never seen anyone as unlucky as her. In the last dungeon too, before halfway through, only two people were left alive.”  

“It’s not her who’s unlucky, it’s the people around her.”  

“That’s true. Then you better be careful from now on.”  

“What’s that got to do with me?”  

This time, Fang Xiqiong didn’t answer. She just raised her hand and pointed at the screen, signaling Qin Su to keep watching.
