But when he saw the person in front of him, the young man fell on the ground. He backed away again and again in fear.
“You, you don’t come here, don’t come here!”
Shu Yushuang frowned and asked, “What are you doing? Am I very scary?”
The man said in fear and anger, “Scary… more than scary, you all are evil ghosts.”
Shu Yushuang didn’t have time to speak. The man covered his mouth. A muffled cry came from his throat.
His face twisted because of great pain. Shu Yushuang saw fresh blood rush out fast from between his fingers. It ran down his arm and soon dyed his sleeve red.
The man didn’t die. He gasped and crawled up. He ran far away fast and soon vanished, and Shu Yushuang stood with a heavy face as she watched his back.
Up to now, except for the monster from yesterday, the Executors hadn’t met any danger. The vengeful ghosts only attacked the native people of this village.
But this didn’t mean the Executors were safe. A normal dungeon was already full of danger, and this forced dungeon was worse.
Then where would danger come for the Executors?
Shu Yushuang thought of the gaze that vanished outside the door yesterday. She felt uneasy for no reason.
She looked around. The people weren’t affected by what happened here. They still worked in order.
Shu Yushuang thought for a moment. She didn’t disturb the others. She walked toward the place where the blood mark went yesterday.
It was the place Qin Su said had no danger.
As for Qin Su and Fang Xiqiong, one night here turned into only a few seconds on the big screen.
Qin Su asked Fang Xiqiong in confusion, “What’s going on? Is time not in sync?”
“This… maybe…”
It was also Fang Xiqiong’s first time knowing that in her own theater, she could watch the Executors carry out a dungeon. For Qin Su’s question, she didn’t know how to answer.
Qin Su frowned and stared hard at Fang Xiqiong. Fang Xiqiong gave a small cough and pointed at the screen. “She’s about to go on an adventure again. Watch her, don’t watch me.”
Hearing this, Qin Su moved her eyes back to the screen.
In this short time, Shu Yushuang had already reached the place from last night.
The blood on the ground hadn’t faded. It stretched all the way to the chief’s door.
Shu Yushuang stood across from the chief’s house. She wasn’t sure if she should go in.
Now even a fool would know the chief had a problem.
At this moment, two people walked over. Shu Yushuang knew right away they were also Executors.
One of them was Han Yu. When he saw Shu Yushuang, his eyes moved and he walked toward her with a big smile.
“You’re Shu Yushuang, right?”
Shu Yushuang glanced at him coldly and gave a small nod.
Han Yu didn’t mind her cold attitude. He kept smiling. “We want to ask the chief something, but the two of us are men so it’s hard to gain her trust, so we want to ask you to…”
He didn’t finish, but Shu Yushuang already understood what he meant.
So fast someone wanted to use her as cannon fodder?
“Say yes, he’s holding a knife.”
Shu Yushuang couldn’t see the hand Han Yu hid behind his back, but Qin Su saw it clearly. The knife might not be meant for Shu Yushuang, but it didn’t hurt for her to be careful.
Shu Yushuang didn’t agree at once. She asked, “Didn’t we all ask yesterday? The chief didn’t say anything.”
“Yesterday was yesterday. Maybe there were too many people, so she couldn’t talk. Today fewer people are around, so maybe she’ll tell something.”
Shu Yushuang’s sharp eyes swept over Han Yu and his teammate. When Han Yu was about to lose his patience, she said, “Let’s go. I also need to ask her something.”
Qin Su said, “Are you trying to go against me on purpose?”
Of course, Shu Yushuang wouldn’t answer her question.
Shu Yushuang walked toward the chief’s house. When she passed Han Yu and the other man, she didn’t even look at them.
Han Yu shrugged and followed. His teammate narrowed his eyes and stared greedily at Shu Yushuang’s back, but after Han Yu warned him, he had to follow too.
Qin Su stared at the screen and complained to Fang Xiqiong in anger. “That man’s eyes are disgusting. If he comes into my dungeon, I’ll never let him go.”
Fang Xiqiong didn’t speak. She only showed a subtle smile that said she was “shipping” it. But Qin Su didn’t notice her look because she was focused on the screen.
There, Shu Yushuang knocked for a long time before the chief finally opened the door.
She looked sleepy and had an unfriendly look, clearly blaming Shu Yushuang for ruining her good dream.
But Shu Yushuang acted like she didn’t see it. She squeezed past the chief through the gap beside her and went straight into the house.
The chief froze for a few seconds before she panicked and said to Shu Yushuang, “You, you, you… what are you trying to do? Did I let you come in?”
“Chief, is this village haunted? I can help you fix it, but you have to tell me the truth first.”
“Who told you this place is haunted? Get out!”
Outside, the three people looked at each other. None of them expected the chief to have such a bad temper, throwing people out the moment she didn’t like what she heard.
But Shu Yushuang kept her cold look. She said, “Okay, I tried. You take care of it yourselves.”
Then she turned and left before Han Yu could say anything.
Han Yu looked at her unfeeling back. He wanted to speak, but he swallowed the words.
Qin Su felt the movie was indeed fun. She also liked Shu Yushuang’s personality very much, but she thought it would be better if Shu Yushuang would just listen to her advice.
After leaving the chief’s house, Shu Yushuang went back to her current place.
She felt the key clue wasn’t with the chief but inside this house.
It was clear now that the chief didn’t welcome outsiders. So why was she so warm when they asked to stay the night?
There was a big problem here.
Shu Yushuang had no choice but to suspect the chief was luring them into this house on purpose.
What secret was hidden inside this house?
The room was empty now. The other Executors had all gone out to investigate.
“There are bones buried in the yard, not just one body.”
Qin Su’s hint came at the right time. Shu Yushuang stopped and changed direction, walking into the house.
Qin Su gave a helpless smile. She knew Shu Yushuang would still come back to the yard later.
Qin Su didn’t know why Shu Yushuang didn’t trust her. No, maybe it wasn’t distrust, maybe it was… a bit of a rebellious streak?
Fang Xiqiong covered her mouth and laughed. She had guarded this theater alone for four or five years, and she hadn’t seen something this fun in a long time.
There was wallpaper on the first-floor walls and carpet on the floor. When she first came, Shu Yushuang didn’t check carefully. Now that no one else was here, she pulled off all the wallpaper.
The wall behind showed its ugly look. It was full of mold spots.
No wonder there was a bad smell when they came in.
Shu Yushuang checked every wall. She found nothing except mold.
The mold everywhere made her almost want to throw up. She didn’t plan to clean, but her cleanliness obsession acted up, and she washed the walls until they were clean.
With no clue on the walls, she turned her attention to the floor after she finished cleaning.
When she lifted the carpet, she found something strange.
There were large dark brown marks in many spots. They were dry, but her instinct told her it was blood.
“Qin Su, is this blood?”
Qin Su didn’t expect Shu Yushuang to talk to her first, so she froze for a moment. Then she answered quickly, “Yes, it’s blood.”
Shu Yushuang crouched and studied the stains. Fang Xiqiong nudged Qin Su.
“Why are you helping her so much? Don’t forget the way she treated you earlier.”
“To save someone, you shouldn’t care about these things.”
Seeing Qin Su so calm, Fang Xiqiong, as an outsider, couldn’t say more.
Shu Yushuang had already understood the situation with the blood. Almost the whole floor had blood marks. They weren’t dense, but they were everywhere.
Did a murder happen here?
Shu Yushuang rested her chin on one hand and thought.
Qin Su finally couldn’t help speaking again. “Do you want to check the yard?”
Shu Yushuang didn’t react. Qin Su didn’t know if she didn’t hear or was pretending not to. She kept staring at the blood on the floor with a serious face.
When Qin Su repeated herself impatiently, Shu Yushuang also said impatiently, “I know. But there are clues in this blood.”
Qin Su was speechless. She said to Fang Xiqiong in a sad tone, “How did helping her become my fault?”
Fang Xiqiong covered her mouth tight, afraid she would laugh out loud.
Qin Su shook her head and kept watching Shu Yushuang’s progress.
Shu Yushuang should have finished checking this place, but she walked upstairs.
Qin Su reminded her at once, “There’s nothing upstairs!”
“How do you know?”
“I… I can see it. You won’t find clues up there.”
“What if you missed something?”
After saying that, Shu Yushuang ignored her and went up stubbornly.
“Ah… I’m trying to save you some time, and you still won’t listen.”
Fang Xiqiong leaned on her hand, smiling as she watched the screen. She didn’t even want to pretend anymore.
Shu Yushuang checked every room on the second and third floors. As expected, the result was the same as Qin Su said, no clues at all.
Watching Shu Yushuang come down the stairs, Qin Su could only shake her head with a helpless smile.
Fine. Let her do whatever she wants. As long as she could give hints when needed, it was enough.
Qin Su had no doubt that as long as she helped from her side, Shu Yushuang would pass the dungeon with ease. No matter what Shu Yushuang did, she could keep her safe by giving hints in advance.
Following Qin Su’s first hint, Shu Yushuang went to the yard. The yard was full of weeds. She looked around the whole place, then confirmed a spot.
But digging the ground with a small knife was very hard. Even after the other Executors finished their tasks and came back, she still hadn’t dug up the bones Qin Su mentioned.

Her action, of course, drew the attention of the other Executors.
Sun Tingting ran over and asked, “Is there something here?”
There was no need to hide this. Shu Yushuang nodded.
Sun Tingting called out at once, “Everyone, come help! There’s a clue here.”
