But Miss Qu didn’t want that. She wanted to tease her more and drive her to the edge. In short, Miss Qu got a thrill from seeing Miss Gu’s “dying struggle,” and she wanted to prolong it. She wanted to etch this so-called “friend,” whose reactions were anything but friendly, into her memory, to prove a point or get revenge, because Miss Qu labelled her as 'friend'.
And also, nope, didn't censor anything, whatever is in the raws is what's in here. If you're talking about some explicit words having ****, it's done that way because blogger flags it as violation.

MGMQ is not literotica, no need to be hung up on intimate scenes.

I love the drama and the darkness of the story.
I really liked Miss Gu’s character development, especially her struggles with her career and her sexuality.
However, I hated Miss Qu’s SAs. It was such a turn-off and disappointing because I initially loved Miss Qu’s character in the earlier part of the manhua adaptation.
The thing with Bo Yiqing was really revolting, like yuck.
Some scenes felt like telenovela absurd. I also disliked the random jump scenes and the side character dump, some characters just appeared out of nowhere in one chapter and disappeared in the next, got me wondering what their purpose even was.
I think the ending could have been better. The drama and chaos versus sweet and happy moments was very unbalanced. I wanted to see more happy couple life chapters.
Miss Gu is such a great character, I love her confession speech and her overall development.
She's emotionally loud (while being feisty) reactive and raw, she lets herself feel, and sometimes those feelings spill out. Whether pride or anger. She walks in confident, but there's an undercurrent of insecurity
About Qu Xizhi, she isn't loud or flashy, she lets her presence speak before her words do. There are alot of things missing, and misunderstood. First is she's not a complete red flag, there's no backstory at all, even though it's clear she has some childhood trauma, most of the time she only wants to reach Xiaojing through physical contact but ends up crossing the line. So it can't be called sa all the time when she doesn't even mean it. But I still hold her accountable because she herself felt bad and apologized a few times.
Her parents are definitely responsible for how controlling and broken she is. And not to mention the story is mostly from Xiaojing's perspective.
Gu Xizhi reacts, Qu Xizhi calculates.
Gu Xizhi protects herself by lashing out, Qu Xizhi protects others by holding back.
They mirror each other in a way that's painful but intimate and worthy.
About Yiqing, I feel like it was needed, it was realistic and showed the dark side of the entertainment industry. I feel bad for her but I'm happy she got her justice.
About characters appearing and disappearing, agreeee, it was really annoying when a character appeared and disappeared without any explanation. Wanzhi not only lacked at this, but Qu Xizhi's past and perspective, and most importantly Qu Xizhi's power. Wanzhi made her seem helpless in Yiqing's matter when she was powerful enough to handle it, which seemed unrealistic.
About the end, again agree, I felt like it wasn't enough after everything the characters went through. A few more chapters would've done good.
Overall, this is a realistic romance between two women, it's not the typical get together trope. It's angsty, realistic, beautiful, the characters are imperfect, and that's exactly what makes it beautiful.
