Welcome To Loving Baihe!


Loving Baihe is a compilation of personally edited machine-translated GL novels, mainly CN novels, but hopefully expanding to other GL works from other countries and other forms of media.

This site is run by yours truly, cly, I edit MTLs for personal consumption and I'm sharing this with you so you don't have to, hoping for you to have a better reading experience. I hope you enjoy these novels as much as I do. I love seeing comments, so I encourage you to drop some, but please keep it friendly, no rude words.


I'm not a native English speaker and my knowledge of Chinese is probably as good as yours, but I'm trying to learn (YouTube, Duolingo, and these novels are my main learning sources). With Korean, I know basic words and expressions, I can read Hangeul (preschool level) but I haven't fully grasped its sentence structure and grammar.


Since these are MTLs, I can't guarantee translation accuracy, but I try to check by comparing multiple MT results. I mainly use Google Translate, then other machine translators, online dictionaries/sites, for cross-checking such as DeepL, Pleco, Baidu, Yandex, and Papago (Not all of them at once, maybe two or three). First, I run the whole chapter on MT, then by paragraph, if it's not making any sense, by line. Usually for Chinese, when GT and Baidu fail, DeepL makes sense. For context and idioms, my main sources are Baidu and Google.


Please bear with the grammar mistakes and excessive use of commas, most of the time sentences can appear robotic because they are MTLs and I'm not really a grammar expert to correct these things.
